    We love playing this with our whole family, including grand parents and teenagers. I think it would be too difficult for young children. It is definitely challenging, in a good way. We LOVE that you can play it collaboratively / cooperatively! Not a lot of games are like that, and it is great for family bonding, instead of disruptive competition. The photoshop composites on the image cards are so great. Really imaginative and give the game that extra "oomph" or twist to make it really challenging and interesting. I've also bought this game as a gift for my artist & designer friends/colleagues, and they loved it too! You won't be disappointed!

    Intetesting game. Rather hard if you stick to the game's suggested time allotment. Imaginative all around is best description. It has a picture guessing aspect similar to Mysterium, but played in a completely different way. Knowing your competitors will give you an edge, but fun all the same with strangers. I like it!

    We were excited to give Venn a try - the core concept of assigning cards to categories and trying to determine which is being selected sounded like fun. Unfortunately, this wasn't a hit with our game night.

    The packaging is nice, at least - large colored film circles that overlap with each other, and a thoughtful system for randomizing the target words and selections, all in a box with appropriate cutouts to keep everything organized. The packaging is a little bigger than we would have liked because of the size of the circles, but that's pretty common for board games these days.

    Unfortunately, when we dug into the gameplay, we had trouble using the art cards enclosed to accurately convey the words. The art is random and surrealistic, which is fun - but it's actually a bit too random to convey the words we wanted. If the art depicted specific scenarios with a bit of cohesion to them, it would be better. The cards tend to be just 4 or 5 items pasted together in a collage - we would have preferred a surrealistic concept that was a cohesive whole throughout the card.

    For example, one card is a giant kitten walking on barren rock, batting at an elderly man walking with a cane, with two large strawberries in the foreground. Is this wild? exciting? sparse? It's kind of all three, and also kind of none of the three.

    I wish the cards were single surreal situations. If it was a barren wasteland with a herd of armadillos, we could get "wild and sparse" without "exciting". If it was a kitten running a convenience store with empty shelves, it would be sparse but not wild and exciting. But with the current cards, there's so much going on, nothing's going on, if that makes sense?

    Modern AI image generation has gotten really good - I would love to see an updated version of Venn with the cards swapped out for AI generated surrealistic art focused on a single concept per image, which I think would keep the core idea here while improving the gameplay. You could also use actual modern art in partnership with a major museum.

    We also struggled with co-op mode a bit. With only two players, this is more fun than frustrating because if you're not on the same wavelength with the cards you're dealt, you're kind of stuck. I do think this is better as a party game than as an individual one, and I wouldn't buy it based on co-op.

    I love the concept here, and this could be fun with the right group of folks, but this fell down in the details for us. I'd love to see a second edition or booster pack that refines the concept and fulfills the full potential of the idea - a classification party game is a fun idea, we just struggled with the specific cards provided.
